The word “Gospel” means “good news,” so these writings of the Apostle John proclaim the good news of how God sent His Only Begotten Son into the world, as Light to all humanity. In the gospel of John we find the divine plan of salvation through Jesus Christ and an accurate account of His life, words and deeds (2 Timothy 3:16). Being aware of the divine authority of this book, let us begin to apply everything we have learned in our lives. Please read James 1:22-25. Chapter 1 – Read the chapter carefully before answering the questions. The “Word” of John 1:1 is the Eternal Son of God, who was made flesh and made his home among men (John 1:14). Christ is called the “Word,” for God spoke to humanity through Him (Hebrews 1:2-3).
