About
Colossians is another of the epistles written by Paul from prison. This epistle was written at the same time that Paul wrote to the Philippians. Although he had never visited this congregation, he felt great love and care for them in the Lord. It is possible that this church was founded by Epaphras, whom Paul mentions in this epistle. One of the reasons this epistle was written was to warn the Colossians about the Judaizers and their false teachings. Another reason was to establish and confirm the truth. The theme of this epistle is “Christ as the Head of the Church.”
